Anger is a feeling – and just that. It is a feeling in response to a potential threat. There is nothing good or bad about a feeling. How you respond and react to this feeling, the behaviours you engage in can be appropriate or inappropriate and indeed destructive.
It is such behaviours as aggression and violence that many associate with anger, and why many deny, repress or do not acknowledge their anger. The feeling ~ the reaction to the feeling are not the same!!
Violence and aggression are about mismanaged anger.
